Analysis of core technical requirements

1. Materials and manufacturing process

The cylinder barrel should be made of brass alloy or aluminum alloy, and the stress should be eliminated by heat treatment:

  • Seamless pipes need to be heat treated (5.1.1)
  • Welded pipes should be heat treated before finishing (5.1.2)

2. Key performance indicators

Implementation suggestions

Selection guide

According to Appendix A data:

  • Aluminum alloy cylinder: H9 tolerance is preferred, and it is applicable to 1600kPa pressure when the wall thickness is ≥2mm.
  • Brass alloy cylinder: H9 tolerance is applicable to d≤80mm, and H10/H11 is required for more than that.

Key points of inspection

  1. Inner diameter measurement must include the influence of deformation (8.1.2)
  2. Roughness measurement must avoid the end face by 25mm (9.1.5)
  3. Straightness inspection should preferably use the collimator method (8.3.1 Note)

Ordering specifications

Required to be specified (Appendix B):

Case: When ordering a φ50mm aluminum alloy cylinder, the following should be noted:
"Material: 6061-T6 aluminum alloy | Tolerance: H9 | Roughness: Ra0.4μm | Straightness ≤0.05mm/1000mm"
