Key Technical Points
Test Equipment Selection
When conducting a 180° bending test, a flat indenter or a inclined indenter must be used. When the indenter radius is greater than 2.4mm, a flat indenter is preferred. The testing machine should have:
- Vertical/horizontal bidirectional loading mechanism
- 5-100mm/min speed adjustment range
- 0.05mm centering accuracy
Standard Evolution Analysis
This standard has the following major improvements compared with GB/T15825.5:
- Added limit bending angle determination method
- Refined the indenter specification classification (0.1mm interval)
- Introduced advanced determination methods such as optical measurement method
Implementation Suggestions
Specimen Processing Specifications
For high-strength steel (Rm≥780MPa), it is recommended that:
- Preferentially use displacement measurement method
- The initial indenter radius should be 6 times the sample thickness
- The edge burr should be controlled within 0.01mm
Typical application case: In the test of DC04 cold-rolled steel plate of a certain automobile enterprise, the maximum bending angle was measured to be 142° using a 0.4mm indenter radius.
