Key technical requirements
The standard clearly defines biosoluble mineral wool as alkaline earth silicate wool, and its chemical composition must meet the following requirements: SiO₂≥50%, (CaO+MgO+Na₂O+K₂O+BaO)≥18% and Al₂O₃≤1%, and asbestos is strictly prohibited.
Typical application scenarios
A cruise ship's fireproof compartment uses biosoluble mineral wool board. After testing: after heating at 950℃ for 24 hours, the linear change was only -1.8%, and the compression strength reached 18kPa, which fully met the standard requirements.
Test method system
- Thermal conductivity: refer to GB/T 10294 guarded hot plate method
- Biological persistence: according to EUR 18748 EN standard
- Low flame spread: implement Annex 1 of 2010 FTP rules
Standard implementation suggestions
- Third-party biological half-life test report should be verified during procurement
- Material should be kept dry during installation (moisture absorption rate <5%)
- Sampling re-inspection is recommended for each batch
