Key technical requirements

The standard stipulates that metadata must include five major categories of content: identification information, spatial reference information, production information, quality information and distribution information. Among them:

  • Coordinate system parameters must be accurate to 1/298.257222101 flattening
  • The time format must be YYYYMMDD eight-bit code
  • Valueless data must be clearly marked as "None" instead of leaving it blank

Implementation Suggestions

Take DOM production as an example:

  1. The satellite sensor type needs to be recorded (such as WorldView-2)
  2. The ground resolution is accurate to 0.5 meters
  3. The version of the orthorectification software needs to be indicated (such as Pixel Factory 4.0)

Pay special attention to the fact that the edge quality evaluation must include the four-direction edge status record.
