GB/T39630-2020 has formulated comprehensive technical specifications for nanosilver colloidal solution, which mainly includes three technical systems:

In-depth interpretation of technical indicators

Particle size control requirements

The standard stipulates that the average particle size is ≤10nm, which is determined by small-angle X-ray scattering method.

  • 1-5nm: has the highest specific surface area and active silver ion release rate
  • 5-20nm: balance stability and antibacterial effect
  • >50nm: may reduce bioavailability

Silver valence state analysis technology

When using XPS to analyze the proportion of elemental silver, please note:

  1. Sample preparation needs to be vacuum dried to constant weight
  2. The type and concentration of anions and cations need to be recorded
  3. Ag3d5/2 binding energy of 368.2eV is the characteristic peak of elemental silver

Standard implementation recommendations

Application in medical fields

When used in wound dressings, it is recommended to:

  • Select a solution with a particle size of 3-8nm and an absolute value of Zeta potential > 30mV
  • Control the total silver concentration at 10-50mg/L
  • Add antibacterial test for Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Adaptation for daily chemical products

Note that when used in antibacterial hand sanitizers:

  • The pH value needs to be adjusted to 5.5-7.0 for skin compatibility
  • It is necessary to pass multiple skin irritation tests
  • It is recommended to add 0.1% disodium EDTA to improve stability

Compared with the international standard ISO/TS 80004-6:2021, GB/T39630-2020 has the following characteristics:
