《GB/T 39715.4-2021塑料 生物基含量 第4部分:生物基物质含量的测定》由TC15(全国塑料标准化技术委员会)归口,主管部门为中国石油和化学工业联合会。
Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
This standard is equivalent to the ISO 16620-4:2016 international standard, and establishes a complete method system for determining the content of bio-based substances in plastic products through radiocarbon analyzer and elemental analyzer. Technical points include:
Product classification system
| Product type | Characteristics | Testing requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Group I products | Prepared by chemical/biological reaction | Need to measure both bio-based carbon content and elemental composition |
| Group II products | Prepared by physical mixing | Only need to measure bio-based carbon content |
| Natural components | Directly derived from biomass | Default bio-based content is 100% |
Key technical indicators
Take polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as an example:
- The fossil-based part (terephthalic acid) accounts for 68.7%
- The bio-based part (ethylene glycol) accounts for 31.2%
- The elemental composition requires the determination of four elements: C, H, O, and N, among which the oxygen content must be measured
Detailed explanation of the test method
Radiocarbon analysis
According to the ISO 16620-2 standard, the bio-based carbon ratio is determined by measuring the 14C isotope content, with an allowable error range of ±3%.
Elemental Analysis
One of the following methods is used:
- Total Carbon Determination: ISO 609 and other standards, accuracy ±0.4%
- Total Hydrogen Determination: Accuracy ±0.2%
- Total Oxygen Determination: Difference calculation method is prohibited
Data Verification System
| Confidence Level | Allowance for Biobased Carbon | Allowance for Elemental Analysis |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | ≤3% | C:±0.4%, H:±0.2% |
