《GB/T 4009-2008硅铬合金》由TC318（全国生铁及铁合金标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国钢铁工业协会。
本标准代替GB/T 4009-1989《硅铬合金》。
本标准规定了硅铬合金的技术要求、试验方法、检验规则以及包装、储运、标志和质量证明书。
本标准适用于炼钢及铸造时作为还原剂和合金剂，精炼铬铁时作为还原剂的硅铬合金。
本标准与GB/T 4009-1989比较，主要变化如下：
―――增加了标准的前言；
―――增加了规范性引用文件；
―――调整了组批的表述形式；
―――增加了附录Ａ和附录Ｂ。
Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation, marking and quality certificates of silicon-chromium alloys. This standard applies to silicon-chromium alloys used as reducing agents and alloying agents in steelmaking and casting, and as reducing agents in ferrochrome refining.
