《GB/T 40906-2021家具产品及其材料中禁限用物质测定方法 邻苯二甲酸酯增塑剂》由TC480(全国家具标准化技术委员会)归口,主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。
Introduction
Analysis of the core content of the standard
This standard specifies the method of using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry to determine 6 phthalate plasticizers in furniture materials, with a focus on controlling substances such as DBP, BBP, DEHP, DNOP, DINP, and DIDP. The detection limit reaches 0.001%-0.005%, and the recovery rate is controlled in the range of 80%-120%.
Key Technical Points
| Test Items | Pretreatment Methods | Analysis Conditions | Key Parameters |
|---|---|---|---|
| DBP/BBP/DEHP/DNOP | Ultrasonic extraction (60℃) or Soxhlet extraction | DB-5MS chromatographic column | Detection limit 0.001% |
| DINP/DIDP | Soxhlet extraction for 6 hours | Programmed temperature 180-280℃ | Detection limit 0.005% |
Difficulties in implementing the standard
Case 1: In the detection of soft furniture, DINP was difficult to separate due to its complex isomers, and the mass spectrometry parameters needed to be optimized to use the selected ion monitoring mode (SIM), focusing on the m/z149 base peak.
Case 2: Matrix interference occurred in the detection of PVC hemming materials, and the recovery rate was increased from 75% to 92% after solid phase extraction column purification.
Comparison of old and new standards
| Comparison dimensions | GB/T40906-2021 | EU REACH Regulation |
|---|---|---|
| Controlled substances | 6 specific phthalates | 8 phthalates |
| Detection limit | 0.001%-0.005% | 0.1% total limit |
| Scope of application | Furniture and materials | All consumer products |
Laboratory operation suggestions
- Control the temperature ≤60℃ during the extraction stage to prevent degradation of the target substance
- DINP/DIDP detection requires the use of the peak area summation method to treat isomers
- Blank control must be performed simultaneously for each batch of tests
- Mass spectrometer tuning must meet the m/z149 ion abundance ≥ 80% of the reference value
Background of standard evolution
This standard responds to the requirements of the 2021 "Guidelines for the Control of Key Chemical Substances in Consumer Products" and is formulated in response to the current situation of large-scale use of plasticizers in the furniture industry. The technical level draws on the extraction methods of EN14372:2004 and ASTMD3421-75, but the detection sensitivity is increased by 10 times.
