Introduction
Interpretation of the core content of the standard
GB/T41264-2022 is my country's first safety standard specifically for sheet metal bending robots, which builds a complete technical framework from hazard source identification, safety protection to verification methods. The standard is applicable to two types of robots: rectangular coordinate type and articulated type, and focuses on standardizing safety requirements under typical working conditions such as material picking, positioning, and bending following.
Analysis of key safety requirements
| Safety dimension | Technical requirements | Implementation points |
|---|---|---|
| Control system | Fault detection, alarm and safety state maintenance must be realized | Dual-channel safety circuit design should be adopted |
| Space limitation | Three-level protection: software limit → limit switch → anti-collision block | The distance between hard limit and soft limit ≥50mm |
| Operation mode | Physical isolation of teaching/playback/automatic three modes | Key switch requires mechanical interlock |
Technical innovations
Bending follow-up safety: The standard clearly requires for the first time that the robot must have the rear stop finger displacement deviation detection function (5.7.2f clause), and when the detection value difference is ≥0.2mm, the protection stop should be triggered. A case study of an enterprise shows that this requirement can reduce 40% of workpiece collision accidents.
Electromagnetic compatibility: Clause 5.14 stipulates that the robot must operate stably in a typical sheet metal workshop environment (including welding equipment interference), and it is recommended to adopt a three-level filtering solution: power input + driver + communication line.
Implementation suggestions
- Safety space planning: The collaborative workspace should avoid the robot's motion path (Clause 5.17.4). It is recommended to retain an observation channel of ≥500mm.
- Verification process: The full process test of the three modes must be completed during the trial operation phase (Clause 7.2). It is recommended to prepare a "Safety Function Checklist".
- Maintenance points: Check the air path sealing every month (Clause 5.12.7). Test the ESPE light curtain response time every quarter.
