Introduction

Analysis of core elements of the standard

96h Device classification and parameter system

The standard clearly defines the characteristics of three types of tensioning devices: the lever type has a simple structure but is suitable for smaller tonnage (1,431-5,900kg), the ratchet type mechanism achieves long-term locking (applicable to 2,451-5,900kg), and the indirect type enhances the force transmission efficiency through the movable block structure (applicable to 2,451-4,180kg).

Type Applicable mass range (kg) Verification tensile force multiple Breaking tensile force coefficient
Lever type 1,431-5,900 3.5×
Indirect type 2,451-4,180 1.5×
Ratchet type 2,451-5,900 3.5×

Six elements of safety protection

According to the requirements of GB/T15706, focus on the following risk assessment points:

  • Failure of mechanical lock causes sudden change of center of gravity
  • Shear risk factor ≥ 2.5
  • Probability of worker strain caused by operating force exceeding 500N

150kN verification test case

A hydraulic testing machine was used to conduct a breaking test on the ratchet device No. TC-4080. The initial loading rate was ≤50MPa/min and the pressure was increased step by step. It was confirmed that when the tension reached 219.8kN (exceeding the 203kN benchmark specified in the standard), the locking teeth still had no plastic deformation.

Technology Evolution Chart

Compared with the 2005 version, this standard has been improved in three dimensions: the transportation equipment specification has been expanded from structural fall protection to automatic monitoring functional modules, the load conduction redundant design formula (δ=Fk/1.7σb) has been clarified, and the 355° temperature change test requirements for functional locking have been added.

Implementation recommendations

  • Perform monthly 75% rated tension spot checks
  • Rotating parts require a cumulative 500 cycles of lubrication
  • The nameplate should meet the IP65 protection grade
