Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation, marking and quality certificates of rare earth ferrosilicon alloys. This standard applies to rare earth ferrosilicon alloys used as additives in steelmaking and cast iron or in the preparation of rare earth master alloys.
