1. Background and significance of standard formulation

Molybdenum-tungsten alloy is an important electronic material, widely used in electronic tubes, electric light sources and other fields. With the advancement of technology, the original standards can no longer meet the needs of modern production. The release of GB/T 4185-2017 integrates and replaces GB 4185-1984 and GB/T 4186-2002, and further standardizes the production and inspection requirements of molybdenum-tungsten alloy bars and rods.

The alloy surface must be smooth and free of defects. For example: the surface roughness of polished alloy rod shall not exceed Ra1.6, and oxidation color is not allowed.
