Scope

This standard specifies the principles for determining the relationship between dimensional (linear and angular) tolerances and shape and position tolerances. This standard is applicable to dimensions, dimensional tolerances and geometric tolerances in technical drawings and related documents to determine the size, shape and location characteristics of part elements.
