GB/T 42512—2023 Standard Overview
The National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB/T 42512—2023 "Copper Alloy Sheathed Seamless Coil" was jointly issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration. It aims to standardize the technical requirements and inspection methods of copper alloy sheathed seamless coils used in high-speed railways, urban rail transit, communication optical cables and other fields.

1. Chemical composition requirements
The chemical composition of the pipe must comply with the requirements in the table. For example, the copper content of H68 copper alloy should be between 67.0 and 70.0%, and the impurity elements such as sulfur and phosphorus should be strictly controlled at ≤0.01%. 2. Mechanical performance indicators
The pipe must meet the room temperature mechanical properties specified in Table 5, including tensile strength ≥290MPa and elongation after fracture ≥50%. These indicators ensure the stability and reliability of the material under complex working conditions.
3. Process performance requirements
The expansion test and flattening test require the pipe to achieve a 30% expansion rate and an inner wall spacing equal to the wall thickness, respectively. These process indicators ensure the machinability of the material during the manufacturing process and the quality of the finished product.

1. Select the appropriate grade and state
Depending on the specific application scenario, H68 alloy in the soft annealing (O60) state is suitable for occasions requiring higher ductility.
2. Quality control recommendations
Chemical composition deviations should be strictly controlled during the production process, testing equipment should be calibrated regularly, and batch records should be kept to ensure product quality traceability.
3. Optimization of testing methods
It is recommended to use advanced analytical methods in GB/T 5121 and YS/T series standards, such as X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy (wavelength dispersion type) for harmful substance detection.
