1. Standard Overview
GB/T42771-2023 "Specifications for the Configuration of Rehabilitation Assistive Devices in Child Welfare Institutions" is the first standard document in my country specifically for the configuration of rehabilitation assistive devices in child welfare institutions. It aims to provide comprehensive nurturing, medical care, rehabilitation, education and placement services for special children such as orphans. This standard will be issued from May 23, 2023 and will be officially implemented on December 1, 2023.
2. Background of Standard Formulation
As society pays more and more attention to child welfare, the role of rehabilitation assistive devices in child welfare institutions is becoming increasingly important. However, my country previously lacked unified standards and specifications in this regard, resulting in problems such as unscientific configuration and inadequate management. The formulation of this standard fills this gap and provides clear technical guidance for child welfare institutions.
