1. Background and significance of standard formulation

The formulation of the freeze-thaw stability test method of pesticides is to ensure the stability and effectiveness of pesticides under different environmental conditions. With the diversification of pesticide formulations, especially the emergence of new formulations such as microcapsule suspensions and microcapsule suspension-suspension concentrates, higher requirements are put forward for freeze-thaw stability testing.

According to the standard requirements, keep it at (-10±2)℃ for 18 hours, then keep it at (20±2)℃ for 6 hours, and repeat this for 4 cycles.

Actual application case: microcapsule suspension test

A pesticide company used the GB/T 43273-2023 standard to test the freeze-thaw stability of microcapsule suspensions. The results showed that after 4 freeze-thaw cycles, the mass fraction of free active ingredients remained above 98%, indicating that the product has good freeze-thaw stability.
