Introduction

1. Background and purpose of the standard

GB/T 43544-2023 "Laboratory test method for the inhibition rate of dental calculus by toothpaste for oral cleaning and care products" is a standard document proposed by the China Light Industry Federation and managed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Oral Care Products. This standard aims to standardize the laboratory test method for the inhibition rate of dental calculus by toothpaste and provide a scientific basis for quality assessment of oral care products.

3. Practical Application Cases

Case Background:A toothpaste manufacturer needs to verify the inhibitory effect of its new product on dental calculus.

Test Steps:

  1. Prepare toothpaste slurry solution and centrifuge to obtain supernatant.
  2. Prepare hydroxyapatite suspension and add samples from different groups.
  3. Simulate artificial saliva environment and react under constant pH conditions.
  4. Determine calcium concentration and calculate inhibition rate.

Result Analysis:By comparing with the positive control group (5% sodium pyrophosphate solution) and the negative control group (water), calculate the inhibition rate of the sample and evaluate the product performance.
