1. Background and significance of the standard

GB/T 43809-2024 "Technical requirements for the development of characteristic profiles of plant extract feed additives" is a standardization document for plant extract feed additives, which aims to standardize the development process of their characteristic profiles. The standard was proposed and managed by the National Feed Industry Standardization Technical Committee, and the main drafting units include Hunan Agricultural University, Beijing Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, etc.
