《GB/T 44707-2024化学品 强化快速生物降解性试验》由TC251(全国危险化学品管理标准化技术委员会)归口,TC251SC1(全国危险化学品管理标准化技术委员会化学品毒性检测分会)执行,主管部门为国家标准委。
Introduction
1. Standard Overview
GB/T 44707—2024 "Enhanced Ready Biodegradability Test for Chemicals" is an important standard for evaluating the biodegradability of chemicals in the environment. This standard aims to identify the persistence and potential risks of chemicals through enhanced rapid biodegradability testing, and provide a scientific basis for environmental management.
2. Background of Standard Formulation and Technological Evolution
With the global emphasis on environmental protection, the biodegradability assessment of chemicals has become a key link in environmental risk management. Based on GB/T 27850 "General Rules for Ready Biodegradability of Chemicals", this standard combines a number of internationally advanced test methods (such as OECD screening tests, closed bottle tests, etc.) to form a new specification for enhanced ready biodegradability testing.
3. Comparison of standard frameworks
| Standard name | Scope of application | Core method | Test conditions |
|---|---|---|---|
| GB/T 21801 | Respirometric test for rapid biodegradability | Determination of dissolved oxygen consumption | Closed system, inoculum preconditioning |
| GB/T 21803 | DOC reduction test | Determination of dissolved organic carbon (DOC) | Open system, inoculum concentration control |
| GB/T 44707 | Strengthen rapid biodegradability test | Multi-dimensional strengthening conditions (extending the cycle, increasing the volume, and increasing the inoculum) | Flexible and applicable, supporting a variety of application scenarios |
4. Test preparation and operation process
Case study: In a chemical production enterprise, the inoculum was pre-exposed by adopting the semi-continuous test method. The results showed that under the strengthened conditions, the biodegradation rate of the chemical was significantly improved, from 20% in the basic test to 85%.
4.1 Instruments and culture medium preparation
- Use closed bottle test device or dissolved oxygen meter to collect data.
- The test water must meet the requirements of GB/T 21803, and the culture medium preparation must ensure the activity of microorganisms.
4.2 Selection of test substances and reference substances
- Test substances: provide structural formula, physicochemical properties (water solubility, vapor pressure) and rapid biodegradability test results.
- Reference substances: It is recommended to use aniline or sodium acetate as positive controls.
5. Implementation recommendations and quality control
To ensure the accuracy of the test results, it is recommended that:
- Pre-conditioning and pre-exposure of inoculum should be carried out strictly in accordance with the standard requirements.
- Strengthen parallel sample testing to ensure data consistency (the range between parallel samples should be less than 20%).
- For difficult-to-degrade substances, the acclimatization period can be extended to 28 to 45 days.
