Introduction
1. Standard Overview
GB/T44988-2024 specifies the online monitoring requirements for process industry safety instrument systems (SIS), including data perception, transmission, analysis and display. This standard aims to improve the safety and reliability of industrial production by real-time monitoring of the status and performance of SIS.
2. Background of Standard Formulation
SIS is the core guarantee system for industrial safety production. With the rapid development of industrial automation, the functional safety requirements of SIS are becoming increasingly complex. The traditional management mode based on offline detection can no longer meet the real-time requirements. This standard came into being to achieve dynamic perception and analysis of SIS status through online monitoring technology.

Case: Deployment of SIS online monitoring system in a petrochemical enterprise
The enterprise deployed an online monitoring system based on GB/T44988-2024 in the refinery, and realized dynamic monitoring of the status of key equipment through real-time data collection of sensors and controllers. The system adopts a structured data model (as shown in Figure 2) to ensure the standardization and analyzability of the data.
