Scope
This document specifies the doses for the non-visual biological effects of light in visual work scenarios, taking into account the requirements for circadian stability, emotional regulation, and high work performance, as well as correction factors for these effects based on age, visual field, and light climate zones. This document applies to the dose and correction factor requirements for visible light radiation with wavelengths between 380nm and 780nm. This document provides quantitative recommendations based solely on functional requirements, and should be used as a reference for each application site. This document does not address chromaticity or photobiological safety, but is solely related to the non-visual responses of the human eye. Note: The non-visual dose systems specified in this document include the melanin-responsive daylight (D65) equivalent illuminance (m-EDI), the circadian stimulus value (CS) model, and the daily cumulative amount of photobiological effects-circadian phase shift (DCLA-CPS) model validated for the Chinese population. Dose recommendations for circadian stabilization lighting, emotional lighting, and high-performance lighting are based on the action spectrum of human retinal melanocytes, melatonin suppression rate, and circadian phase shift, respectively. These recommendations are applicable to healthy lighting design focused on different dimensions.
