《GB/T 478-2008煤炭浮沉试验方法》由TC42（全国煤炭标准化技术委员会）归口，TC42SC3（全国煤炭标准化技术委员会选煤分会）执行，主管部门为中国煤炭工业协会。
本标准规定了煤炭浮沉试验的煤样、浮沉试验室、设备(器具)与仪器、重液配制、试验准备、试验步骤、分析化验项目和结果整理。
本标准适用烟煤和无烟煤,褐煤可参照实行。

1 Scope

This standard specifies the coal sample, float and sink test room, equipment (appliance) and apparatus, heavy liquid preparation, test preparation, test procedure, assay items and result sorting of coal float and sink test.
This standard is applicable to soft coal and hard coal, and lignite may refer.
