Scope

This part of GB/T 4797 specifies the basic characteristics, quantitative description and classification of precipitation and wind environmental conditions related to electrical and electronic products. The purpose of this section is to provide background information for the selection of appropriate precipitation and wind related parameter severities for product applications. The values specified in IEC 60721-1 should be used when selecting the appropriate severity of precipitation and wind related parameters for the product application.
