Scope

This specification is applicable to the measurement of reverberation time in rooms for language, performance or music, rooms requiring sound absorption and noise reduction, and rooms in residential buildings with special sound quality requirements. This specification does not apply to the measurement of reverberation time in special rooms such as acoustic laboratories. This specification does not apply to the measurement of the reverberation time of a special indoor space where the ratio of the largest dimension to the smallest dimension in the room's three-dimensional scale is greater than 5 or where any dimension is smaller than half the wavelength of the measurement frequency.
