Introduction

1. General Principles

This standard is formulated to improve the technical level of construction safety in petrochemical construction projects, ensure personal safety and health, protect public property from loss, and protect the environment from pollution and damage. This standard applies to the technical management of construction safety in new, rebuilt, expanded and overhauled equipment in petrochemical, coal chemical, natural gas chemical, etc.

2. Terminology

Hot work

All types of metal welding, cutting and other operations that produce sparks and open flames in petrochemical construction projects are collectively referred to as hot work.

Specified hot work area

Area within the scope of the construction site of the project that requires a long-term hot work permit.
