1 Scope

This standard specifies the method of using constant weight quantitative filter paper or micropore glass filter to filter samples to determine the mechanical admixtures in petroleum, petroleum products and additives.
This standard is applicable to determining mechanical admixtures in petroleum, liquid state petroleum products and additives.
This standard is not applicable to lubricating grease and bitumen.
