Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of cationic active substances in detergents. This method is suitable for the analysis of cationic active substances such as long-chain quaternary ammonium compounds, laurylamine salts and imidazolinium salts. This method is applicable to water-soluble solid active substances or active substance aqueous solutions. If its content is expressed in mass percent, the molecular weight of the cationic active substance must be known or determined in advance.
