1 Scope

This Standard specifies test methods for burning behavior of vertically oriented textiles in case that they are ignited in the bottom margin.
This Standard is applicable to various textiles and their products.

3 Terminologies and Definitions

For the purposes of this Standard, the following terminologies and definitions apply.

Afterflame time
Persistent flame burning time of material when the ignition source is exhausted under specified test conditions, (s).

Afterglow time
Persistent flameless burning time of material when flaming ends or the ignition source is exhausted from flameless burning under specified test conditions, (s).
