《GB/T 5455-1997纺织品燃烧性能试验垂直法》由TC209（全国纺织品标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为中国纺织工业联合会。
本标准规定了测定各种阻燃纺织品阻燃性能的试验方法，用以测定纺织品续燃、阴燃及炭化的倾向。本标准适用于阻燃的机织物、针织物、涂层产品、层压产品等阻燃性能的测定。

1 Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for the determination of the flame retardance behaviour of various flame-retardant textiles, and the afterflame and afterglow of textiles and their charring tendency.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the flame retardance behaviour of products like flame-retardant woven fabric, knitted fabric, coating product and laminated product.
