1 Scope

This part specifies the technical requirements and corresponding test methods for test sieves of perforated metal plate.

This part is applicable to test sieves having round apertures with sizes from 125 mm down to 1 mm, or square apertures with sizes from 125 mm down to 4 mm.

For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 5329 apply.

4 Designation

4.1 Designation method

Test sieves of perforated metal plate shall be designated by the sizes of the frames, nominal sizes of the apertures in perforated metal plate (see Table 1), expressed in millimeters, as well as by the shape of apertures and standard number, i.e.:

Sizes of frames/nominal sizes of the apertures in perforated metal plate + shape of the apertures standard number.
