GB/T 37167—2018 Standard Interpretation

1. Standard Scope and Applicability

This standard is applicable to the determination of trace magnetic impurities in inorganic powders with a particle size not greater than $60~\mu\mathrm{m}$.

2. Separation and Extraction of Magnetic Substances

Steps Detailed Description
Magnetic Bar Preparation Put the magnetic bar into a conical flask, add concentrated hydrochloric acid and heat to boiling, cool and clean it for later use.
Sample treatment Weigh an appropriate amount of sample and place it in a sample jar, add a magnetic bar and dispersion medium, and shake to mix for 30-60 minutes.

3. Determination of magnetic impurities

Case analysis:Testing of magnetic impurities in lithium iron phosphate.

  • Weigh $200.30~\mathrm{g}$ lithium iron phosphate sample and separate the magnetic impurities.
  • After dissolution, use ICP-AES to determine the content of Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Zn elements.
