《GB/T 6378.4-2008计量抽样检验程序 第4部分:对均值的声称质量水平的评定程序》由TC21（全国统计方法应用标准化技术委员会）归口，主管部门为国家标准化管理委员会。
GB/T6378的本部分规定了对以核查总体的某个质量特性的平均值为质量指标的计量一次抽样检验程序。
GB/T6378的本部分所规定的抽样方案和评定程序,用于评定某一总体(批或过程等)的质量水平是否不符合某一声称质量水平。本部分规定的抽样方案使否定某一合格总体(批)的风险控制在5%。
GB/T6378的本部分的程序不适用于批的验收抽样,仅适用于各种形式的质量核查,即利用样本的检验结果来说明某一核查总体是否不符合某一声称质量水平的场合。被检产品质量特性应服从或近似服从正态分布。
GB/T6378的本部分适用于能从核查总体中抽取由一些单位产品组成的随机样本的情形。
GB/T6378的本部分提供的抽样方案可用于(但不限于)检验下述各种产品,例如:

Scope

This part of GB/T 6378 specifies the sampling inspection procedure for metrology whose quality index is the average value of certain quality characteristics of the verification population. The sampling plan and assessment procedures stipulated in this part of GB/T 6378 are used to assess whether the quality level of a certain population (batch or process, etc.) does not meet a certain claimed quality level. The sampling plan specified in this standard controls the risk of rejecting a qualified population (batch) at 5%. The procedures in this part of GB/T 6378 are not applicable to batch acceptance sampling, but only applicable to various forms of quality inspection, that is, the occasions where the inspection results of samples are used to explain whether a certain inspection population does not meet a certain claimed quality level. The quality characteristics of the inspected product should obey or approximately obey the normal distribution. This part of GB/T 6378 applies to the situation where a random sample consisting of some unit products can be drawn from the verification population. The sampling plan provided in this part of GB/T 6378 can be used (but not limited to) to inspect various products such as: final products; forestry parts and raw materials; operations; work in progress; inventory; maintenance operations; data and records; hypervisor.
