本标准代替GB/T 6483-1986《柔性机械接口灰口铸铁管》和GB/T 8714-1988《梯唇型橡胶圈接口铸铁管》
合并后标准名称为《柔性机械接口灰口铸铁管》。
本标准规定了连续铸铁管的分级、尺寸、外形、重量、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装和质量证明书、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于输送水及煤气用的柔性机械接口灰口铸铁直管及梯唇型橡胶接口连续铸铁直管。铸铁管的使用应参照有关管道设计技术要求和施工规范。
本标准与GB/T 6483-1986和GB/T 8714-1988相比，主要变化如下：
——对标准中的部分术语进行了定义；
——对铸铁管进行分级与分类；
——对煤气管的试验压力进行了修改；
——规范了单位名称。

Scope

This standard specifies the classification, size, shape, weight, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging and quality certificates, transportation and storage of continuous cast iron pipes. This standard is applicable to gray cast iron straight pipes with flexible mechanical interface and continuous cast iron straight pipes with ladder lip rubber ring interface (hereinafter referred to as cast iron pipes) for conveying water machine gas. The use of cast iron pipes should refer to the relevant pipeline design technical requirements and construction specifications.
