《GB/T 6505-2001合成纤维长丝热收缩率试验方法》由608（中国纺织工业联合会）归口，主管部门为中国纺织工业联合会。
本标准规定了合成纤维（涤纶、棉纶、丙纶）长丝沸水收缩率和干热空气收缩率的试验方法――绞丝法和单根法。本标准适用于线密度小于3000dtex的合成纤维长丝。本标准不适用于预取向丝。

Scope

This standard specifies the test methods for the boiling water shrinkage and dry hot air shrinkage of synthetic fiber (polyester, nylon, polypropylene) filaments - skein method and single fiber method. This standard applies to synthetic fiber filaments with a linear density less than 3000dtex. This standard does not apply to pre-oriented filaments.
