Scope

This standard specifies the basic measurement methods for the operating characteristics of cable distribution systems to assess the performance, performance limits and safety requirements of these systems. Note: The measurement methods described in this standard are basic. However, any equivalent method ensuring the same accuracy can be used. This standard is mainly applicable to cable distribution systems for television and sound signals.
