Scope

This part of "Safety of Laser Products" provides general guidance for manufacturers of laser products and their agents to confirm whether each new design or improvement of the product complies with the requirements of GB 7247.1-2012. This part involves the relevant provisions of GB 7247.1-2012, used in conjunction with GB 7247.1-2012, and does not replace GB 7247.1-2012. This section applies to the laser products described in GB 7247.1-2012. The checklist format in this section is for guidance only. Manufacturers and inspectors are encouraged to develop their own documents, omitting those questions and clauses that are not relevant to product inspection, and indicate the number of such clauses in the appropriate place, for example: "Clause 4.3.2: Omission - Not applicable". The manufacturer guarantees that the inspector is a person who is competent for the inspection and classification of laser products.
