Scope

This document specifies the general definition, conditions of use, structural requirements, technical characteristics and verification requirements for low-voltage complete switchgear and controlgear. Note: In this document, the term "complete equipment" (see 3.1.1) refers to low-voltage complete switchgear and controlgear. In order to determine the conformity of the complete equipment, the requirements of IEC 61439-2 and its subsequent relevant parts apply together with the requirements of this document.
