Interpretation of the core content of the standard

GB/T 7251.2-2023, as the second part of the low-voltage complete switchgear and control equipment series standard, focuses on the specific requirements of complete power switchgear and control equipment (PSC-complete equipment). This standard applies to indoor and outdoor fixed/mobile equipment with a rated voltage of ≤1000V AC or ≤1500V DC, and for the first time includes special specifications for photovoltaic application complete equipment (PVA).

Typical application case

When a photovoltaic power station uses PVA complete set of equipment, special attention should be paid to the following:

  1. The DC side overvoltage category must be ≥ Class II (DD.9.1.3.1)
  2. The fuse must be gPV type (DD.8.5.3)
  3. Outdoor installation must pass the 1kW/m² solar radiation test (Figure DD.101)
