本方法适用于测定润滑脂对铜的腐蚀性。本方法对预测在润滑部件上(如含有铜或铜合金的一些轴承)可能的化学腐蚀有一定的意义。这样的腐蚀，可能引起过早的轴承损坏。可是与实际使用中，通常认为在动态情况下运转的大多数润滑部件无相关性。本方法不适用于测定除润滑脂本身外，而由其他因素引起的润滑脂抑制铜腐蚀的能力。也不测定在铜存在中润滑脂的安定性。

Scope

This method is suitable for determining the corrosiveness of grease to copper. This method is not applicable to the determination of the ability of a grease to inhibit copper corrosion caused by factors other than the grease itself. The stability of the grease in the presence of copper was also not determined.
