Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions and tolerances of cylindrical shaft extensions of rotating electrical machines (hereinafter referred to as shaft extensions), the tolerance of keyway symmetry and selection requirements. This standard is applicable to the shaft extension of the torque transmission end of the rotating electrical machine. The shaft extension has a single keyway and is connected with the driven or driving machine with a flat key.
