1 Test Device
1.1 Furnace
Fire resistance test of door and shutter assemblies is conducted with furnace. The furnace shall be capable of subjecting one side of the specimen to the heating conditions specified in Clauses 2 and the pressure conditions specified in Clauses 3, and shall meet the requirements of specimen mounting, test and observation.
1.2 Temperature testing device inside of the furnace
Temperature in the furnace shall be measured by thermocouples of wire diameter 0.75 to 1.50 mm, and the quantity of thermocouples shall not less than 5. The thermojunction of thermocouple shall be protruded 25 mm above the end of sleeve; the test accuracy of temperature in the furnace shall be within ±15℃.
1.3 Temperature testing device of unexposed surface of specimen
Thermocouple of wire diameter not greater than 0.70 mm shall be used for the temperature test of unexposed surface of specimen, the quantity is: not less than 8 for door and shutter assemblies with fire dampers, and not less than 5 for door and shutter assemblies without fire dampers. The test accuracy of temperature of specimen unexposed surface shall be within ±5℃.
1.4 Testing device of furnace pressure
Furnace pressure shall be tested by piezometer and static pressure probe (see Figure 3) with the accuracy of ±1Pa.
