本标准代替GB 7744-1998《工业氢氟酸》。
本标准规定了工业氢氟酸的分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则以及标志、标签、包装、运输和贮存、安全。
本标准适用于工业氢氟酸。该产品主要用于化工、冶金、玻璃、矿山、石油开采、原子能等行业。
本标准与GB 7744-1998的主要技术差异如下：
―――原国标设优级品、一等品和合格品，一等品、合格品分别设置了两个规格。本标准将产品分为两个类型，Ⅰ类产品设置三个规格，Ⅱ类产品设置四个规格，取消了等级设置；
―――Ⅰ类产品中增加了氢氟酸含量为70%的规格，同时增加了灼烧残渣含量；
―――Ⅱ类产品中增加了氢氟酸含量为30%、50%的规格；
―――本标准对氟硅酸含量、不挥发酸含量指标进行调整。
