《GB/T 8050-1987三股和八股聚丙烯单丝或薄膜绳索特性》由TC209（全国纺织品标准化技术委员会）归口，TC302SC2（全国家用纺织品标准化技术委员会线带分会）执行，主管部门为中国纺织工业联合会。
本标准规定了三股(搓拈)和八股(编绞)聚丙烯单丝或薄膜绳索在本色或着色状态时的主要特性。它是由密度接近0.91g/cm3属于聚丙烯类的单丝或薄膜所构成的。本标准适用于线密度在17与4170ktex之间，公称直径为6至96mm的这类绳索。
Scope
This standard specifies the main properties of three-strand (twisted) and eight-strand (braided) polypropylene monofilament or film ropes in the natural or colored state. It is composed of monofilaments or films with a density close to 0.91g/cm3 belonging to the polypropylene family. This standard applies to such ropes with a linear density between 17 and 4170 ktex and a nominal diameter of 6 to 96 mm.
