Scope

This standard specifies the minimum performance and parameter requirements for milking and cleaning functions of milking machines, as well as specific dimensional requirements. At the same time, it also makes specific regulations on the material, design, structure, installation and other requirements of milking equipment. This standard applies to milking equipment that uses a vacuum to generate pulses and uses (at least partly) airflow to help transport milk (cows, buffaloes, sheep and goats, etc.). The qualitative requirements of this standard also apply to milking equipment for other milk-producing mammals. Some provisions of this standard do not apply to all types of milking machines.
