Scope

This standard is limited to elastic devices. An elastic device is an elastic element or system used between equipment and a supporting structure intended to reduce the transmission of vibrations or shocks from the equipment to the supporting structure or from the supporting structure to the equipment. This standard specifies the technical information that the isolator manufacturer and the user should provide to each other.
