Scope

This document specifies the requirements for vertical Francis turbines, axial flow turbines, horizontal Francis turbines, Pelton turbines, speed control systems, turbine main flash and accessories. It also covers the installation and commissioning of vertical turbine generators, horizontal turbine generators, excitation systems and static variable frequency starting devices (CSFC), bulb-type hydro-generator sets and auxiliary equipment of hydropower stations. In addition, the document also includes installation electrical tests of turbine generator stators and rotors and start-up and trial operation of turbine generator sets. This document is applicable to the installation and acceptance of Francis, axial flow, Pelton, bulb-type hydro-generator sets and mixed flow reversible pumped storage units.
