《GB/T 8813-2020硬质泡沫塑料 压缩性能的测定》由TC48(全国塑料制品标准化技术委员会)归口,主管部门为中国轻工业联合会。

Introduction

Analysis of the key points of standard revision

GB/T 8813-2020 is equivalent to the ISO844:2014 international standard. Compared with the 2008 version, the main revisions are:

  • The test scope is extended to products with molded skin (thickness 10-50mm)
  • Added contact extensometer method B for direct deformation measurement
  • The unit of compression stress is uniformly changed to MPa
  • Precision data adds inter-laboratory comparison results

Key technical requirements

Specimen preparation specifications

The standard stipulates that the sample thickness should be (50±1)mm, and the preferred size is a 100mm×100mm regular quadrangular prism. For anisotropic materials, samples need to be taken in different directions for testing.

Test condition control

The compression rate needs to be maintained at 10% of the initial thickness of the compressed sample per minute, i.e. 5mm/min (50mm sample). The recommended state adjustment environment is (23±2)℃/(50±10)%RH.

Implementation recommendations

  1. For highly elastic materials, method B should be used to determine the elastic modulus.
  2. Anisotropic materials should be marked with the relationship between the pressure direction and the structural orientation.
  3. When the dispersion of the test results is >10%, each data must be reported separately.
  4. The force system of the testing machine should be calibrated regularly with standard weights.

Technology evolution analysis

This standard introduces the contact extensometer measurement method of ISO844:2014 for the first time, solving the pain point that traditional displacement measurement is affected by the rigidity of the equipment. By comparing the inter-laboratory comparison data of the 2008 version and the 2020 version, the reproducibility limit of the compression strength test was increased from 10% to 8%.
