Scope

This standard is applicable to the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the reliability of the safety system of nuclear power plants, and also to the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the reliability of safety-related nuclear power plant systems. This standard applies to any stage of the life cycle of the safety system of nuclear power plants, but in the design stage, it has the greatest effect on improving safety. The analysis results will help to make a reliable system design and contribute to system evaluation. During the pre-operational phase and during the normal life of the system, application of this standard will assist in preparing and revising operating and maintenance procedures and improving test plans.
