This standard specifies a method of evaluating the spheroidal graphite cast iron by optical microscope.
This standard provides an evaluation method for the nodularization classification, graphite size, nodule quantity, perlite quantity, dispersed ferrite quantity, iron phosphide eutectic quantity and carbide quantity as well as the corresponding rating drawing.
This standard is applicable to evaluate the metallographic structure of common and low alloy spheroidal graphite cast iron in casting, normalizing and annealing states.
