Scope

This standard specifies the general method for the determination of phosphate by extraction-phosphomolybdenum blue colorimetry. This standard applies to the determination of trace orthophosphate in chemical reagents. The detection range of spectrophotometry or visual colorimetry is 0.2-2 μg/mL (calculated as PO4) in butyl acetate.
